Description:

To advance in chess, scholastic chess players must learn pawn strategies and develop tactical pawn play.

"Pawn-frontation: The proper usage and play with pawns."

 

Pawns differ from chess pieces in that every move makes a permanent change in the game's position.  The proper usage and play of pawns is critical for any chess player.

 

Seminar Agenda:

This Chess Learn "Pawn-frontation" seminar will teach proper pawn usages and demonstrate practical play with pawns.

Morning Session (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM):

  1. Pawn Structure.
  2. Pawn Formation.

Afternoon Session (1:00 PM - 4:00 PM):

  1. Pawns and Pieces.
  2. End Game Pawns.
