For a number of years serious chess players have
recognized the value of using chess software programs to study,
analyze and generally improve their chess play.
"Fritz Software" Seminar
seminar will teach you how to use and get more out of the Fritz
interface and other ChessBase engines such as Shredder and Hiarcs.
From installation tips, modifying "factory
settings" to creating custom layouts for personal needs, this
seminar will explore and demonstrate all Fritz menu items in
addition to going "beneath the hood" into engine settings and
management.
Advanced registration required.
Each session is limited to twenty
(20) attendees.
Bring your laptop PCs and configure
your version of Fritz on-site.

Morning Session (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM)
will focus on:

your PC ready to run the Fritz engine?

The various Fritz versions (7, 8, 9, 10 and 11)?

Should I use Fritz or ChessBase? - What are the differences?

Installation and setting: the many options.

Playing games against Fritz.

Adjusting the playing strength levels.

Getting help and coaching during a game with Fritz.

Training with Fritz (openings, tactical and endgame).

Building a repertoire by saving various versions of your games.

Afternoon Session (1:00 PM - 4:00 PM)
will focus on:

Using Fritz to analyze games and positions.

Deep position analysis.

Searching & finding games, positions, tactics, annotations or
tournaments.

Loading and using the Openings book trees.

Entering and e-mail your Fritz games.
-
Going on-line to:
-
Update your Fritz program.
-
Play chess on PlayChess.com
-
Using Fritz with other chess engines and software programs (e.g.
ChessMaster 9000 & Rybka 2.3.2a).

owners of Fritz version 7 or higher.
