   Computer chess software can be a great teaching tool.  The Chess Learning Center recommends ChessMaster 9000 for beginning and experienced players.  Advanced players (rated over 1500) should purchase Fritz (current version 8.0). Maurice Ashley Teaches Chess is a great software package for beginning chess players.
